The meeting was held at the David Marshall Lodge, Aberfoyle, following the "Well Dog" Seminar.
Sue Hood, Ann Morrow, Emma Mackay & Judith Wilkes.
The minutes of 2007 AGM were approved.
Serena Brownlie had been in contact with the club with regard to heart testing. This will be taken forward by the committee.
Firstly, I would like to welcome any new members to the club.
Although Scotland poses some logistic difficulties in organising events to suit everyone, it is good to know that these events are appreciated. However, this year has been much quieter than our previous year. The attendance at some events was not as good as previously, but we hope that this trend will be reversed and that 2008 will see an increase in support and activities within the club. To this end, we have put a questionnaire out to members which we hope that this will give us an insight on what we as a committee can do better for you, our members.
It was particularly rewarding to see the response to the Captain Graham appeal, and hopefully this will continue to gather momentum, in order that we can make a successful day of his anniversary and we will hear from Nick Wilkes a little later some of the detail of that appeal.
If those members who find themselves in a position to make donations to the appeal, can do so, it will be appreciated. Every little helps as they say in the ads!
I look forward to seeing all of you through out the year.
The Treasurer presented audited accounts for the calendar year of 2007. It was reported that the clubs finances were satisfactory with the bank balance increasing across the year.
There were two vacancies, as Ian and Ann are unable to commit to a committee role this year. There was one nomination, that of Emma MacKay, and she is therefore elected unopposed. Nominations from the floor for the remaining vacancy were Kim Allison and Keith Scott. As committee members are valuable, it was agreed both should join the committee.
Nick Wilkes gave an update.
