St Cyrus Beach
Heading north from Montrose take the A92 coast road. Approximately 2miles North of Montrose cross the Lower North Water Bridge and take the turn off on the right, marked ‘Beach’, which is just 30 yards beyond the end of the bridge . Once on the beach road continue for approximately 1 mile to Nature Reserve Visitor Centre on right side and Car park on the left.
From the car park cross over the road onto the boardwalk. Please read notice about where dogs must be kept on lead (this is a nature reserve and there are restrictions due to nesting birds and wild flowers). There is often a supply of 'poo' bags available near this notice to encourage responsible dog ownership.
Follow the boardwalk across the sand dunes (dogs should be on a lead). Once on the beach both dogs and walkers have a wide expanse of sand and beautiful scenery to enjoy. This is a lovely place even in the winter. There is no freshwater available on the beach so please remember to take some for your dog. Toilets are available at the visitor centre.
